Investing in Children, Investing in Our Future 12th Annual New York State Child Abuse Prevention Conference Information about submitting a proposal | Submit a proposal Information about submitting a proposal The New York State Child Abuse Prevention conference is designed to inspire and equip professionals, advocates, and parents with the latest abuse prevention, child protection, and parenting information and skills. We anticipate approximately 600 participants who work in many arenas: parent and family support, protective services, domestic violence, health care, mental health, education, law enforcement, religious and civic organizations, and in the home as parents. Their common purpose is to nurture and protect children. Prevent Child Abuse New York is seeking workshops that will provide participants with skills and information they can immediately put to use back home, in their jobs, in their homes, and in their communities. We encourage submission of proposals at advanced levels for experienced professionals, as well as general interest workshops. Preference is given to presentations that are highly interactive and include strategies to engage the audience. Workshop length: 1 and ¾ hours.
