Thanks to our 2008 Walk for Children teams, walkers, sponsors, and volunteers! We raised more than $30,000 for our work to end child abuse! We couldn't have done it without you! See you next year! Capital Region individuals, families, businesses and organizations will step up to prevent child abuse on October 18, by taking part in the 2008 Walk for Children. Join us for an event for the whole family, featuring children's games, activities, arts, crafts, and a walk through the park to support safe and happy childhoods for all of New York's children. The walk will kick off at 10 a.m. at Albany's Washington Park Lake House, wind through the park, and end back at the Lake House for a celebration of food and prizes. The walk is a rain or shine event. You can walk individually or you can organize a team of family, friends, or co-workers. Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps to fund child abuse prevention programs! How do you participate in the 2008 Walk for Children?
